Hi, what exactly is the difference between the coaxial bain and uniflow circuits? Which one is recommended for induction of anaesthesia?
Both systems are coaxial, but the Bain is 22mm in diameter, and is usually used for induction of anaesthesia in the UK. The UniFlow system has a 30mm tube diameter, and would normally be used for maintenance of anaesthesia via a circle CO2 absorber system.
